Dylan Wald
Dylan Wald (he/him) is from Minneapolis, Minnesota. He studied at Minnesota Dance Theatre and Pacific Northwest Ballet School. He attended summer courses at Pacific Northwest Ballet, the School of American Ballet, The Juilliard School, Hubbard Street Dance Chicago and Nederlands Dans Theater. Mr. Wald joined Pacific Northwest Ballet as an apprentice in 2014 and was promoted to corps de ballet in 2015, soloist in 2019, and principal in 2020.
In 2016, Mr. Wald danced in the Celebrate Forsythe Festival. That same year he was featured in Pointe Magazine’s Stars of the Corps, as well as Dance Magazine’s On the Rise. In 2019, he performed in Seattle Dance Collective's debut program, followed by 2020's Continuum. In 2021 he participated in Jacobs Pillows Ballet Coast to Coast performances and Chautauqua’s All-Star Dance Gala. He also performs as a guest artist with Lafayette Ballet Theater, Ballet Hawaii, Ballet Theater Company and Montana Ballet Company.
With PNB, Mr. Wald performs featured roles in the repertoire of George Balanchine, Jerome Robbins, Twyla Tharp, Crystal Pite, William Forsythe, David Dawson, Ulysses Dove, Alexander Ekman, Jiri Kylian and Justin Peck. He has also originated roles with choreographers Christopher Wheeldon, Jessica Lang, Alejandro Cerrudo, Edwaard Liang and Donald Byrd.
